This privacy policy explains how TrustedPeer Inc. ("TrustedPeer," "we" and "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information obtained from TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members and from visitors to its websites, www.trustedpeer.com (each, a "Site" and collectively, the "Sites"). If you are a TrustedPeer Expert, TrustedPeer Editor or Peer Review Board Member, you have agreed to and are additionally subject to TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRUSTEDPEER EXPERTS, TRUSTEDPEER EDITOR AND PEER REVIEW BOARD MEMBERS (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”), which expressly incorporates this Privacy Policy. If you are not a TrustedPeer Expert, TrustedPeer Editor or Peer Review Board Member, by visiting the Sites you consent to the collection and use of your information under the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Collection of Personal Information
TrustedPeer collects information that you voluntarily provide to us,
including your name, contact details, and professional
biography. TRUSTEDPEER may also collect information about TrustedPeer
Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members from our
clients and third parties.
Use of Your Information
We use your information to process and administer details of
TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members
and to keep you up to date with new developments at TrustedPeer. We
also use and analyze the information we collect so that we can
administer, support, improve, and develop our business. We will share
your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are
described in this privacy policy. We may provide your personal
information to companies that provide services to help us with our
business activities such as payment processing and customer
service. These companies are authorized to use your personal
information only as necessary to provide these services to
us. TrustedPeer may contact you using personal information you
voluntarily provide. In particular, we may contact TrustedPeer
Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members about
specific projects or consulting opportunities. If you begin but do
not complete the application process, TrustedPeer may contact you via
email or phone based on information you provide us to determine if you
wish to complete the process of becoming a TrustedPeer Expert,
TrustedPeer Editor or Peer Review Board Member. If you wish to opt out
of these communications, you can either use the unsubscribe link in
the email or you can contact support@trustedpeer.com.
Use of Access to Your Google Drive
We use access to your Google Drive only if you give us explicit permission.
This allows you to provide a link to documents stored on Google Drive.
We store the link and filename only. We do not have access to the file
contents, and do not store access or authorization information about the linked file(s).
You retain the ability to remove the link at any time. You can remove application authorization
at https://myaccount.google.com. TrustedPeer is not afiliated with Google.
Use of Access to Your Google Calendar
We use access to your Google Calendar(s) only if you give us explicit permission.
This allows us to compute your availability information, based on when your
Google Calendar indicates you are busy. We do not retrieve, log, or store
information about your specific meetings (subject, attendees, etc.): we only get
an indication of times when you are "busy". Combining this "busy" information,
with your indicated Availability information, we present a computed result to
users who are attempting to meeting with you. You can remove application authorization
at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. TrustedPeer is not afiliated with Google.
Use of Access to Your Apple iCloud Calendar
We use access to your Apple iCloud Calendar(s) only if you give us explicit permission.
This allows us to compute your availability information, based on when your
Apple iCloud Calendar indicates you are busy. We do not log or store
information about your specific meetings (subject, attendees, etc.): we only use
an indication of times when you are "busy". Combining this "busy" information,
with your indicated Availability information, we present a computed result to
users who are attempting to meeting with you. You can remove application authorization
at https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage. TrustedPeer is not afiliated with Apple.
Use of Access to Your LinkedIn Profile
We use access to your LinkedIn Profile only if you give us explicit permission.
This allows you to quickly enter personal information into your online TrustedPeer profile.
We contact LinkedIn on your behalf and retrieve some profile information. You have the ability
to review and modify all information we retrieve. We store only the information you accept.
We do not store access or authorization information related to your LinkedIn Account, and cannot
post to LinkedIn or update your LinkedIn account in any way.
TrustedPeer is not afiliated with LinkedIn.
Disclosure of Your Information
Your information will be held by TrustedPeer in the United States. If
your information is gathered outside the United States, it may be
transferred to TrustedPeer's United States offices to be used for
these purposes. You may request a full list of all subsidiaries and
affiliates of TrustedPeer, Inc. TrustedPeer may disclose your information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process
- when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request,
- to any other third party with your prior consent to do so,
- if TrustedPeer is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information, to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.
Additional provisions applicable only to TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and
Peer Review Board Members:
- TrustedPeer may disclose your information to Clients
- TrustedPeer may disclose your information to third parties, such as current and former employers and companies that you have provided services to or contracted with, for the purpose of confirming any consents or approvals that you may need to participated in the TrustedPeer or specific Project(s).
- TrustedPeer's Clients, if required by law or the Client's compliance policies, may disclose information about their projects with you, for example your name and the amount you were paid on the project ("Required Client Disclosures"). For example, a pharmaceutical company may be required to publicly disclose certain of its interactions with health care professionals.
- TrustedPeer reserves the right to conduct background checks on you, including through a third-party service. TrustedPeer may seek to verify your employment history and check for any criminal history. TrustedPeer may seek to verify the duration and accurate invoicing and description of Projects you conduct for Clients.
- TrustedPeer may share your information with non-Client third parties for the purpose of promoting TrustedPeer's business, including without limitation by displaying such information on TrustedPeer's websites, print media and other materials (collectively, "Marketing Materials"), subject to your right to opt-out, as provided in the Terms and Conditions of TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Membership
Cookies
When you visit our Sites, we send one or more cookies a small file
containing a string of characters to your computer that uniquely
identifies your browser. Cookies make it easier for you to log on to
and use the Sites during future visits. You can configure your browser
to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie

TrustedPeer's servers automatically record information when you visit
our Sites. These servers' logs include information such as your web

that TrustedPeer collects about you, including personal information,

Third Party Cookies
The use of cookies by third parties is not covered by our privacy
policy. We do not have access or control over these cookies.
Public Forums
Our Website may offerspublicly accessible blogs or community forums. You
should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be
read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request
removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum,
contact us at support@trustedpeer.com. In some cases, we may not be
able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let
you know if we are unable to do so and why.
Testimonials
With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name.
If you want your testimonial removed please contact us at
support@trustedpeer.com.
Accessing & Updating Your Information
You are entitled to see the personal information held about you,
subject to TrustedPeer's confidentiality obligations to its
clients. You may also request that we make changes to your personal
information so that it is accurate and kept up to date by contacting
us at support@trustedpeer.com. If you no longer desire our service,
you may also request to have your account deactivated at the above
email address. TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members are required regularly to update the biographical and
employment information that they provide to TrustedPeer.
Your Ability to Opt-Out of Information Collection &
Use
You may choose not to provide personal information to TrustedPeer.
TrustedPeer Experts, TrustedPeer Editors and Peer Review Board Members may opt-out
of membership in TrustedPeer by contacting us at
support@trustedpeer.com whereupon we will use reasonable efforts to
cease contacting such persons. You may set up your computer to reject
cookies. However, in that case, you may not be able to use certain
features on our Sites.
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, you may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails, accessing the email preferences in your account settings page or you can contact us at support@trustedpeer.com.
Content Forwarding
TrustedPeer may provide tools on the Sites to forward content from the
Sites to others through email or other means. Email address(es) that
you supply for content forwarding will be used for that purpose only.
Refer A Colleague
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a colleague about
our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address.
We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him
or her to visit the site. TrustedPeer stores this information for the
sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success
of our referral program.
Your friend may contact us at support@trustedpeer.com to request that we remove this information from our database.
Security
We employ security measures to protect your information both online
and offline from access by unauthorized persons and against unlawful
processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. When you enter
sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order
forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure
socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted standards
to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during
transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over
the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure,
however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you

Information Retention
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active
or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your
account or request that we no longer use your information to provide
you services contact us at support@trustedpeer.com. If you are a
TrustedPeer Expert, TrustedPeer Editor or Peer Review Board Member, TrustedPeer may retain your
information for its business purposes if you cease to be a member of
TrustedPeer, provided that TrustedPeer will protect all such
information about you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Links
Our Sites may contain links to other websites belonging to third
parties. Please make sure when you leave our Sites that you have read
that website's privacy policy as this Privacy Policy applies solely
to information collected at our Sites.
Changes To This Policy
TrustedPeer may update this policy to reflect changes to our
information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify
you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or
by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming
effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the
